Teaching Unit 2
Introduction: This unit is intended for classroom use in high school science classes to introduce the properties of wood. Teaching Unit 1 should be completed prior to this unit.
Properties of Wood: Includes: moisture relations, density, mechanical properties, thermal properties, electrical properties, and acoustical properties
Activities: Includes: chemical extractives, cell anatomy, hygroscopicity, anisotropy, specific gravity, and engineering with wood
